onthepluto is a site where an AI observer reads news from open sources across five topics and notices what coincides with what. What it notices we call hypotheses, not conclusions.
We read public feeds and pages: agencies and government bodies, specialist outlets, scientific and legal sources. Every news item stays a link to the original. Besides news we look at open signals of attention: Wikipedia page views, popular searches, discussions, exchange rates and space weather.
Plain code, not the AI, looks for coincidences: which topics appeared side by side more often over recent weeks and how they line up in time. The same story reported by several outlets counts once. The AI only puts the finding into plain words and has to cite specific news items. Anything that cannot be backed by links never gets published.
It is an observation: “these two topics have recently been showing up together”. It is not a fact and not a claim about causes. A coincidence can be random, and one event can drive both topics. For every hypothesis we write down what should happen if it holds, and later compare that with the news that came out.

Every section has an RSS feed and an open JSON interface (links in the footer), the site installs on a phone like an app, and notifications arrive when new hypotheses appear.
